Hi all, I've got problems at understanding MATS1-issues i am facing at the moment. From my unterstanding, choosing TYPSTRN=0 allows you to "insert" my whole stress-strain-curve into HM as a .csv-file and work with it. so far so good. As far as I understood MATS1, (PLASTIC) HM is calculating the actual young's moduls out of each data pair, which is a big change at plastic., But HM also needs a young's modulus as a MAT1-entry. So this isn't a big deal at all regarding the availibility of datasheets. But in how far is the MAT1-young's modulus considerd after all at the simulation. e.g. the datasheet`s young's modulus of my material is about 6000MPa, but the young's modulus of the MATS1-table is about 1000MPa calculated with y1 and x1 marking the yield point which is a high slope). HM is produring a warning if the MAT1-young's modulus is not equal to the MATS1-young's modulus calculated from first data-pair. So how does this work? The actual simulation results show, that the model is too stiff..so from my point of view its the problem of choosing the right young-s modulus. One problem could be that the young's modulus is "read" between 0,5 and 0,25% for platics so it's not at the beginning of the graph. Right? What would be the best approach in this case: import the original test-data and put the young's modulus of MAT1 equal to MATS1 or should I go with TYPSTRN=1 after all. I'm working with large displacement. I hope I could make my thoughts clear for you. I appreciate all help from you!! Best regards Samuel
Hi everyone, I want to use nonlinear material for my drop test. i have stress - strain curve. i want to know how can this be brought into Radioss ? also I want to have plastic strain among the results , i cannot find strain variable on anim tab . please let me how can i have plastic strain as result.
