Hello community, how can I do a parameter sweep in activate? I want to simulate a controller with different parameters for the gain. Afterwards I want to overlay the different system responses in a plot. I defined a vector with different values for the controller gain "KR" and use it in a "MatrixGain"-block. KR = [1 .1 .06 .01 .02]; I hoped that could work but it doesnt. Another approch could be to do it by doing multiple simulations with different parameters. best regards Nils
Hi guys, I am using HM in NX Nastran profile. I am working in Sol 109. I would like to define PARAM W3, but the PARAM W3 is not found in PARAM control cards. So I try to add it in dat file manually. It is not working. Please advise. Thank you in advance.
Hi all, Is there a way in Hypermesh to import parameters from a spreadsheet or a ascii file format? e.g. Type,PartName,SectionName,MatId,MatName,MatTypeName.... If so, please direct me to sources where I can read up on it. Also I have difficulty finding information on how to interact with a tcl script. Please direct me to sources as well. Thank you.
I'm a relatively new user of Hypermesh v12.0 and have run into an issue when trying to use the 2D Automesh on a particular geometry. I am meshing an elliptical cylinder with interior stiffeners, i.e., frames, intercostals, etc. that are bolted together. I am modeling the vessel with 2D, first order elements and am modeling all fasteners and fastener holes. The problem that I run into is that the 2D automesher (including midsurface mesher) performs one of three operations: Failed surface mesh Meshes only around the holes (this is when I specify washers in the parameter/criteria files) Meshes over holes/cutouts that are below a certain diameter I've reworked and modified all parameters and criteria that I feel are relevant and even those that I feel are irrelevant. Further, when I perform topological cleanup and have the preprocessor locate and tag holes, it tags all holes except for those above a certain diameter (so Hypermesh is treating the larger and smaller cutouts differently). No matter what, I cannot mesh this structure and the direction that I feel I am taking now is non-intuitive and quite frankly arbitrary. Any guidance would be appreciated.
