Designing a consumer product would require you to do curve projection at least one time unless you are in search of an overall shape. When you do a cutout of a panel/surface in order to insert a piece it is wise to fillet the edges of both pieces for rendering purposes so it ends up looking more convincing but sometimes you really need a bigger gap between two panels/surfaces. This is where some sort of gap tool creation would come in handy just to interactively expand or resize the existing gap when you do curve projection. So far one of the workarounds has been to do offset of the cutout which gives you a leeway to do proper bigger filleting of the edges to close the gap (that way it looks more pronounced in the render). I am not aware of any other workarounds cause I'm lazy to do some creative thinking.

Hi, After generating mesh for any assembly, it will be very difficult to check which elements are not projcted to surface. This is even more difficult to check when Geometry and CDB files are imported seperately. Is there is any script or a method to hilight the elements/node which are not on the surfaces/not projected to surfaces. Regards, Sagar

Hello, While meshing, sometimes the nodes do not follow the geometry properly due to faceted surfaces. Even projecting the nodes on line and surf does not help. Even though it has a negligible effect on analysis, do we have a remedy on this? Please see image below for reference. Thanks and regards, Bharat

Dear all, Hi, I have the following queries: 1. I want to create temporary nodes using scripting as it's a repetitive task, but each time, the models differ, hence the node numbering is different, therefore how to create a code to identify the last node numbering so it could be assigned automatically and be used in the remaining program? 2. How to script a TCL code to project a duplicate node onto a varying curvature surface, with knowing only it's PartId (as it deforms on impact) and vector is also known? 3. How to close the Input Process manager internally?

Hello, Since the contact surface is deformed in the current analyses, I would like to use tracking system to obtain the projection of the contact forces on the element surfaces. I could manage to use tracking system for displacement but I could not find a way to use for vectors of contact forces. the toggle A picture of the issue I mentioned, is attached to this message. The swicthed that is written "use tracking system" cannot be activated as shown in the second picture, Thank you for your help in advance.
