  2. Hello, I am using hyperform to evaluate the springback compensation of a component. I need to add a new material in the hyperform database to run the simulation. I created a notepad file with the material properties and saved it in the installed path of the hyperform in the respective material folder. The name of the material which I added is displayed in the software while creating parameters for the simulation. But the properties of the materials are not listed. I tried with the following extension files - .rad and .txt and .wri. But I could not choose the material to run the simulation. May I know the format how to create the notepad file with the material properties and in which format should it be created. Thank you and I kindly request you to help me regarding this issue.

    HyperView H3D Options

    Hi, I am trying to export H3D files from HyperMesh (2017.1) and would like to set specific options I am currently struggling with. What I would like to do is to export the components of my db with the different properties coloured. However, even if I have my HM session with the view set "by Prop", when exporting the FE in H3D, the colours are set by component (one single colour by component then). I would like to know whether it is possible to have the colours of the each and every property directly in the H3D file? The aim is to export these components using tcl commands. I currently do it using the folllowing commands which does not give the expected result (properties coloured) : *createstringarray 4 "model=1" "overwrite=1" "title=0" "result=0" *writeh3dwithoptions "$output_dir/H3D/$component.h3d" 1 4 Another point is about the Model Info. Is it possible, using tcl commands, to export an H3D file without model info or changing what is being written at its place? Thank you in advance, Olivier

    Modal Analysis

    Hello, I am running modal analysis on a helicopter model that has both 2D and 3D elements. I created rigid links and applied mass at the middle node (to represent the lithium ion batteries) however I am not sure which card image to assign for the rigis links and the mass. I tried PMASS and got an error. When I take out the rigids and the masses, I can run the analysis without problem. Thank you in advance, Muge

    Hyperbeam Product of Inertia

    Having trouble matching the area product of inertia calculation in hyperbeam for a tube section with rounded corners on two opposing corners. I have built this section with the shell and solid section methods and both give me a different result than what I have calculated by hand with the exact geometry. Anyone seen this, know what's going on?
  6. Hi Guys, I'm trying to automate the creation of CBEAM elements along a node path wrt to a given "template" element which is already in the model. What I could achive so far is the creation of the CBEAM elements with help of the *feature_add command to create plot elements along a given nodepath and then switch the configuration of the created PLOTEL. These PLOTEL can now be "switched" to CBEAMs utilizing the *attributeupdateint, *attributeupdatedouble and *attributeupdateentity command. The correct property assignment can be done with the *propertyupdate command. So far so good. In the next step, the orientation and offset vectors of the newly created CBEAM elements have to be adjusted with the *barelementupdatewithoffsets command. But the questions is, how can I extract these vectors from the "template" element. I already tried to use the hm_attributevalue / hm_atttributearrayvalue and hm_getentityvalue, but I don't know the correct keyword, to access the needed information.
