  1. Hi, how do I convert tria shell elements to quad shell elements of an entire assembly (enclosed for volume creation) ? I want the shell to be quad and I would like to use split quads into trias for my tetra volume generation. But at the moment I have trias in my shell elements which is unfortunate and would like to convert it to quad without beginning from scratch again which is time consuming. thanks.
  2. i'm an engineering student and I studied that the stress xx value in a plane 4 node element should vary linearly with the y coordinate and so should do the stress yy in the x direction, does anyone know how to see the stress gradient inside a single element? (e.g. with a control card or I don't know how) cause averaging method is nosense in this case since i want to know the values of stress inside that element without carying of what happen near to that element. thanks in advance.
  3. Hello, I would like to know the method to detect a quad with only 3 nodes (instead of triangle definition) that can create problem under another software like Ansys (shell181) : QUAD N : Node1 Node2 Node3 Node(1 or 3) for example thank you for your help patrick
