Hello, I am working on a composite optimization problem. I follow the skateboard tutorial but I have several components in my problem (not all composite). I am trying to minimize the mass given some static displacement constraints. Phase 1 (free size) and phase 2 (size) optimizations are problem free but when I import the shuffling file produced in phase 2 to hypermesh, I see that the laminate I am trying to shuffle optimize includes plies from other components. Have you ever encountered such a problem? I cannot share the files due to confidentiality agreement. Thanks
Hi everybody, I have problems reaching a feasible design at the last stage of the ply optimization. I am trying to minimize the displacement during the shuffling of the plys. After the first iteration the solver stops without a message in the Message log, if it is feasible or infeasible. Did anybody had the same problem or can help me with this topic Kind regards Dean
Hey all, currently I am working on a composite optimization process that involves no 45 and -45° plies. What I experienced was, that with the step 3 (shuffle optimization), optistruct did not consider my constraint of maximum ply successor. Is this a knows issue? Additionally, why can't we define pairing constraints between other plies than the 45 and -45° ? Is there a physical reason why you would do that just with 45 and -45 ? Thanks and best regards Merula
