  1. Hello SolidThinking community, Could someone please point out what I'm doing wrong, or advise a better way of setting my part up for optimization? My part pivots around a shaft near the top such that, it can swing down to contact a vertical wall. I am unsure how to "fix" the wall in all directions. Currently I am using small displacement constraints set to 10e-6. I have set the contact between the wall and part as "contact", and the contact between the shaft and part as "bonded". The contact along the top surface, where the pressure is applied, is "bonded" with the part. The optimization fails every time.. Any help would be great appreciated. Cheers!
  2. want to perform frequency response analysis of a component with the Base excitation of 1g over 10 to 1000Hz, Damping 1% over 10 to 1000Hz. How can get the damping?
  3. I know how to define an output block to get the internal strain energy per unit volume within HyperWorks, and how to define custom objective function equations using the dequation button, but can't seem to call the internal strain energy, since I can't figure out how to define it as a response in HyperMesh. Is this feature supported in HyperMesh?
  4. How to apply displacement as load in linear static analysis in Optistruct? and apply the same in local co-ordinate system? Rgds, Arul
