Hello Experts, I am trying to perform a complex eignevalue/ brake squeal problem on Optistruct 11. The error that i am getting is as follows:- *** ERROR # 1461 *** Card "STATSUB(PRELOAD)" is not allowed for this subcase type. I have used Generic as a solver instead of Modal Complex Eigenvalue as it doesn't support Statsub. Can anyone please explain how to resolve this issue. I have been following quite a few tutorials and have followed exactly the steps mentioned but cant get around this error. Thanks
Hello everybody, I have a general question regarding radioss block. Is there a convenient way of running subcases of one model? Like in radioss bulk or Nastran one can easily define different SPC and Loadset combination and have them solved in sequence. It seems with radioss block this function is not directly implemented. So the question is, how else could it be done? Basically, I have a random prismatic strucutre, that I want to load in compression and shear. From what I understand, I have to do two completely seprate *.rad files and run the simulations seperately. I guess I could somehow do it in batch mode as well, but is that really it? What I eventually want to do, is running a material identifiction in HyperStudy. Therefore I would ideally have the results of both load cases (compression AND shear) in the same results file. But I havent managed to do this. Is there a way to achieve this? regards
Hi, I´m writing my bachelor thesis at the moment and got some trouble while setting up the optimization problem. I want to add a static displacement constraint, but hypermesh displays the error message "Selected subcase (XYZ) is not compatible with the type of response" when I try to set an upper bound using the dcontraints panel for the static displacement response I created before. The Model got 4 Load Steps of the type "Linear Static". It is meshed with Hexa-Elements. Furthermore it uses bolt pretension, CBEAM and RBE2 Elements. For contactmodeling I only use FREEZE and SLIDE. Are there any incompabilities with repect to my FEM Setup or has anyone an idea why this error message is displayed? I have never had such a problem before. If I only run the analysis, there are no problems and the model behaves as expected. Maik
Dear Community, I would like to present you a possible bug I found in Hypermesh 2017 when it creates the input file for optistruct including a buckling analysis (due to limited time, I have not checked if the same problem appears with other analyses). Please find attached an example and refer to the example for the description below. When you try to create the Optistruct file to run (for analysis only, -optskip), Hypermesh creates the following subcase card for buckling: SUBCASE12345678 LABEL Linear Buckling ANALYSIS BUCK SPC = 1 METHOD(STRUCTURE) = 3 STATSUB(BUCKLING) = 1 The first row is missing a space and the solver gives you the following error if the space is not added manually: *** ERROR # 1461 *** in the input data: Card "LOAD" is not allowed for this subcase type. The problem seems to be present only if the loadstep ID is made by 8 digits. I hope this will be helpful to somebody. Regards, Alessandro buckling_issue.hm
