  1. Hello I want to take some values from user so how can I take values from user Like in Hypermesh we use hm_getfloat Is there any command which will serve same purpose in hyperview??
  2. Hello All, I have two components say A and B, some nodes on part A are intersecting part B. I am cheking it with hm_collisioncheck but I dont want to fix it with *collisionfix_temp, I want to move entire component A away from B with the amount equal to the interference. Is it possible to "read the penetration value (max depth) from collision check command" so that I can translate the entire component by that amount in my TCL scripts. OR Any other way to find this by co-ordinates of nodes? Thanks in advance!
  3. Hi All, I am selecting component using *createmarkpanel comps 1 " " ; Now i want to know selected component contains 2d 0r 3d element; Regards, PD

  5. I wrote a tcl script to auto change current component after I excute a command from pushpanel. Here is my script: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hm_pushpanel {velocities} set loadid [hm_info currentcollector loadcol] incr loadid if {[hm_entityinfo exist loadcol $loadid -byid] == 1} { set loadname [hm_getentityvalue loadcol $loadid name 1 -byid] *retainmarkselections 1 *currentcollector loadcol "$loadname" *retainmarkselections 0 } else { return } ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll call out a pushpanel first, in this example : velocities panel. And I will create an initial velocity for current component and press the create button in this panel. I know how to change the current component. I have no idea about how to write the command script after pressing the create button and then change the current component to the next component. Does anyone can help me?
  6. HI, I'm new to hypermesh customization, I'm trying to create custom button in hypermesh to run particular Tcl script. thank you, sixz
  7. Hey guys, I want to calculate the mass of my model using a tcl-script. Is there a simple command to do this? (I haven't found one yet.) If this is not the case, do you know another way how to solve this problem? Kind regards Simon
  8. Hi, I have a structure made of 3d solid map hex mesh elements, ie. primitive unit cells (see primitive image attached). I have turned my hex mesh elements into bar2 elements. I would like to create a central node to the primitive unit cell and connect bar elements to this central node (see body centred cubic image). I know this will most likely be a TCL script problem but I'm not sure how the script would be written. I have successfully created the primitive unit cell and used config edit tool to create bar2 elements (CBEAM's) But I would now like to do this with elements connected to a central node. A comparison of what I'm attempting to do can be seen in this paper: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6265793/pdf/materials-11-02073.pdf I look forward to hearing from the community, Kind Regards, Laurence
  9. 通常、HyperMeshでは、節点はサーフェスやソリッドジオメトリと関連性を持っています。 関連が付いている場合は、エンティティ選択時の選択オプションの"by geoms"でサーフェスやソリッドジオメトリに関連する節点/要素を簡単に選ぶことができます。 ただ、節点とジオメトリの関連が全く無い場合には、この方法で選ぶことが出来ません。 節点とジオメトリの関連が無い状態でも、ソリッドジオメトリの中にある節点を選びたいという時には、指定した座標値がソリッドジオメトリの内外かを返してくれる「hm_ispointinsidesolid」コマンドが便利です。 この「hm_ispointinsidesolid」コマンドを活用して、例えばユーザーが選択した節点群とソリッドジオメトリから、ソリッドの中にある節点だけを抽出したい場合は、下記のような記述で可能です。 set inlist ""; *createentitypanel solids "Select a solid"; set solidid [hm_info lastselectedentity solids]; *createmarkpanel nodes 1 "Select nodes"; foreach nodeid [hm_getmark nodes 1] { lassign [hm_getvalue nodes id=$nodeid dataname=coordinates] X Y Z; if {[hm_ispointinsidesolid $X $Y $Z $solidid] == "1"} { lappend inlist $nodeid; } } if {[llength $inlist] == "0"} { tk_messageBox -message "There is no node in selected solid geometry."; } else { tk_messageBox -message "Found the [llength $inlist] nodes,\nYou can call from retrieve option."; hm_createmark nodes 1 "by id" $inlist; *marktousermark nodes 1; } hm_markclearall 1; ※ファイルに保存して、"File→Run→Tcl/Tk Script"から実行できます。 ⇒Tclファイルのダウンロードはこちら:SelectNodesInsideSolidGeom.tcl ※ダウンロードには、必ずフォーラムへのサインインが必要です。 InsideSolid.mp4

HV_SimulationLabelToTextFile.tcl ※ファイルのダウンロードには、必ず当フォーラムへのログインが必要となります。ログインしない状態でファイルをダウンロードすると、ファイルが存在しないといった旨のメッセージが表示されますが、実際にはログインするとダウンロードが可能になります。
  13. I need to create a macro, which would help me to display the name, material properties and dimensions of a component by clicking/selecting it, moreover if the components contains multiple parts it would help to select only those parts whose Properties tag i wish to display. Any help in this regard is very much appreciated.
  14. Is there a way to put notes in HyperMesh, the same way as its done in HyperView. Please help in doing the same.
  15. Hi, I have a hm file (or fem) and a TCL script. I want to run my hm file with the tcl script in a loop and output the results so I can analyse all of them. How do I achieve this? Kind Regards, Laurence
  16. Hi, I am working on DOE of a component in Hypermesh/Optistruct for natural frequency and stiffness (calculated based on nodal displacements). I have developed Tcl code for Automated design changes in Hypermesh which I execute every time for each iteration after changing some values but I need to manually note down responses (Result) in Hyperview. I need a TCL script for Hyperview which after pasting in command window would append to doe.csv or excel: frequency for mode 7, 8 and 9 for subcase 1; and nodal displacements for specific nodes (eg. 30778,7489,76923,77540) for subcase 2, maximum displacement for subcase 3 and subcase 4 in each row. @Livil Lyle
  17. Hi, I have a structure that is composed of many CBEAM elements, all of these CBEAM elements are under one property and one material. I need each of the individual CBEAM elements to have its own property and material. Is there a way to automate this. I have ~9000 beams. I could lower the number of beams to something manageable so I could organize them individually but this is not ideal. The end goal is to be able to alter the material properties of individual CBEAM's, E1 for example, simulating progressive damage with progressive lattice failure. Can anyone help? I have attached my .fem and hm for your visualisation. Kind Regards, Laurence clevis2.0run.fem clevis2.0run.hm

  21. Hi, I have written a script in TCL that changes the material properties using an automatic number generator. The script works when I write it into the console, (The interpreter at the bottom of the page, not sure of the correct name). But when I run the script using the run TCL script button nothing happens. I have attached the script. It changes the material properties of a MAT9ORT card. Can someone take a look at my script and give me some advice on how it can be changed to run correctly. I have also attached my hm file for which I am attempting to change the material properties. Kind Regards, Laurence Maskell YMbeamchanger.tcl clevis2.0run.hm
