  1. I am new in hype work customization. can you please let me know, how to select a node or is there any selection event for object selections. I want to create small application where, user can select a element node and once node is selected then corresponding data to that node will be displayed in GUI or in txt file programmatically. Data is saved local machine in .csv or .xlsx file forma. Thanks, Pushpendra
  2. Hi all I would like to ask how get an area of selected elements.I wrote an tcl to select the area as an example shown in figure below. I want to get the x and y values. Is it possible to get the values?
  3. Hi all I would like to get a list of thickness for selected elements. I wrote these codes but it gives just one thickness as a result. Could you please help me ? *createmark elements 1 179 79 150 279 35 ... set test [hm_getthickness elements 1] foreach elements $test { puts "$test" }
  4. I have a node selected using "*createentitypanel node" API, from which i can also get it's coordinates or ID, let's say (101, 123, 67) and ID as 123456. Now, this is located on a circumference of meshed component where on the same circumference there will be other grids as well. I want to have list of all nodes have Z value as 67. Is there any way to achieve so? What if i have radial and axial tolerances as well. Please note that the component is made up of only nodes and elements. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hello all, In a part of my script the vector coordinates are pulled for a later use. When I execute I have the following error message --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Error: can't read "vx1": no such variable while executing "*createvector 1 $vx1 $vy1 $vz1" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Code: *vectorcreate_twonode $x $y set vectorList [ hm_getmark vectors 1 ]; foreach vct $vectorList { set vx1 [ hm_getentityvalue vectors $vct "xcomp" 0 ] set vy1 [ hm_getentityvalue vectors $vct "ycomp" 0 ] set vz1 [ hm_getentityvalue vectors $vct "zcomp" 0 ] return "{ $vx1 } { $vy1 } { $vz1 }" } *createmark nodes 1 $x *duplicatemark nodes 1 25 set r [hm_entitymaxid nodes 1] *createvector 1 $vx1 $vy1 $vz1 *translatemark nodes 1 1 10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Would be great if someone could tell how to reference the coordinates vx1, vy1 and vz1 in the other parts of the code. Thanks in advance
