Hello all, I know this question has been addressed in some past questions, however I would like to know if the the values of the true stress = sigma_nominal(1+strain_nominal) versus plastic strain = strain_true_total-(true stress)/E, where: strain_true_total = ln(1+strain_nominal), E = Young's modulus are entered into the tables1, or the values directly from the experimental stress-strain curve are entered. I am asking about the case of an elastoplastic material, with the table defined in terms of the plastic strain and the presence of large deformations. Thank you.
  2. Hello guys, I am trying to simulate plastic deformations with Optistruct and I am struggling to find the proper material card image. I have all the data (values for true strain/true stress), young's module, isotropic, solid metal etc. As far as I understand it should be non linear since we have plastic deformations (?), no change of temperature or heat. I really appreciate any help or advice :-) Cheers
