what is the meaning of all the stress options in 1d analysis in hyperview

Recommended Posts

Hello,

this are the stresses at the stress data recovery points, defined at PBEAM (look at online help).

It is possible to define up to 4 points (C;D;E;F).

Since stresses for 1D beams are only computed from axial and bending components, i think that means "longitudinal stress SAC" (S...stress; A...end A of beam; C... point C)

Best regards,

Mario

sir

1.How do one find the stresses equivalent to von misses's stress as in 2d analysis.

2.Which stress option gives the value of von misses's stress in 1d analysis.

3.Are 1d stress results accurate to predict the factor of safety for a component.
