Crash Analysis Force Output

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I want to ask something about force output.

I prepared a crash analysis with a pendulum and crashbumper system.(crashboxes, bumper and brackets)

If i do this analysis with rigid wall i can see the results with RWALL forces, but my pendulum is in a different shape,so i don't do it with RWALL.

Instead, i modeled pendulum with a small thickness and fully rigid.I can do the analysis in this way.But i want to learn that;how i can i get the force output of this crash analysis?

(Brackets are not fully rigid, they are constrained with four screw with BC.)

Attached picture may be a referance.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

use output blocks to output reactions forces for the nodes.

From the main menu bar click on Tools > Create Cards > TH > NODE > enter a name for the group and select the node of interest > Create >edit > enter the Var of interest (REACX for reaction force in X) and then, in the engine file request the /TFILE to be written at the time frequency of interest.

Hi,

You can also use a subinterface /INTER/SUB and put in the pendulum for the slave surface (or master, it doesnt matter really) and the impacted part as master (or slave). Use TH/INTER to record the contact forces

Another way is to create a TH/RBODY to record the RB-Forces for your pendulum.

Hi,

In Output Block menu, select the nodes, click on create and edit. There you will get the option to input the variable (here REACX for reaction force in X direction) for creating  the time history for nodes.

You can also see the steps for creating the output blocks at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ef7Spn-j7fA , which is a webinar on RADIOSS training.
