Absolute Pressure offset

Recommended Posts

Absolute pressure offset is a reference pressure for AcuSolve. All other pressure values are then relative to this value.

It is relevant in the cases where material properties are dependent on absolute pressure (e.g. Idea Gas law density)

For ideal gas case, you could either

- define APO as zero and all other pressure values with absolute values. Since the result will also be written out as absolute pressure, so the pressure results will be positive.

- or define APO (say 1 Atm) and then all other values relative to this offset.Since the result will be relative, it may be positive or negative.
