Hi Dhananjay,

Altair® OptiStruct® is an industry proven, modern structural analysis solver for linear and non-linear structural problems under static and dynamic loadings. It is the market-leading solution for structural design and optimization.

Finite element solutions via OptiStruct include:
• Linear static analysis
• Non-linear implicit quasi-static analysis
• Linear buckling analysis
• Normal modes analysis
• Complex eigenvalue analysis
• Frequency response analysis
• Random response analysis
• Linear transient response analysis
• Geometric non-linear explicit and implicit analysis

• Dynamics analysis
• Static and quasi-static analysis....etc

Please read about OptiStruct more at http://altairhyperworks.com/product/OptiStruct

Altair® RADIOSS® is a leading structural analysis solver for highly non-linear problems under dynamic loadings. It is highly differentiated for Scalability, Quality and Robustness, and consists of features for multi-physics simulation and advanced materials such as composites.

Finite element solutions via Altair RADIOSS include:
• Explicit dynamic analysis
• Non-linear implicit static analysis
• Transient heat transfer and thermo-mechanical coupling
• Explicit Arbitrary Euler-Lagrangian (ALE) formulation
• Explicit Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
• Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH)....etc

Please read more about RADIOSS solver at http://www.hyperworks.fr/product/RADIOSS

The solver is selected based on the applications. For explicit dynamic cases always select RADIOSS solver. Typical examples are crash analysis. impact analysis. drop test....etc

For implicit solutions select OptiStruct solver.
