I presume you are asking about the energy error.in the out file during the run. If the error is negative, it means that some energy has been dissipated (e.g. due to contact friction or hourglassing)  and If the error is positive, there is an energy creation.

Energy error could be various reasons.  As a general remark, in case of under integrated, the Hourglass Energy can cause negative energy error. Also, any penetrations or intersections can also result in high energy error. Incompatible kinematic conditions can lead to high positive energy error.

If you are getting high energy error in your model you can perform these checks in your model.
