Sequential loading with changing boundary condition.

Recommended Posts

Hi

Is possible to change the BCS after certain time? In my case the load as well as BC will change with respect to time. Tstart and Tstop in BCS doesnt work here. So is there any other way to do so?

Hi,

You can do this with a second engine file.

Do the complete first run with the actual boundary conditions. Restart the run now with the new BCS in the second engine file.

Please go through /BCS/TRA and /BCS/ROT in Help.

Hi,

Since this is a continuation from the previous run all the results generated will be carried over.

Hi @Prakash Pagadala @George P Johnson

I tried this but the results i am getting are not upto my expectations..

In the attached image you may see shaft displacing the lower support. In next engine file i am trying to release Z direction and give gravity in +ve z direction so that shaft should displace the upper limbs. But that is not seen the simulation.

I have also attached the load curves. kindly give your suggestions.

Hi,

I think one tutorial is available in Help showing sequential loading in RADIOSS.

Check for tutorial RD-3599 (Gasket with HyperMesh) for better understanding on defining the curve for a sequential loading case.

Hi @simulation explicite

I am facing problem in creating kinematic condition in engine files. I need to release a DOF after specific time.

@Nachiket Kadu

I got the files, thank you,

To release DoFs, you need to use BCSR/TRA, BCSR/ROT engine cards. I don't see the same in your 2nd engine file. Can you please check the same?

I will try out with BCSR/TRA, previously i was using BCSR/ALE. Can you throw some light on what BCSR/ALE will do?
