Hi guys,

I have been performing an analysis in Acusolve and wanted to see an animation of the points but I cant click on the option Transient Data as the tutorial suggests.

When I click build on the seeding panel, the points only appear one time in all the time steps and I cant visualize them moving.

The global problem solution was defines as transient using SST and fixed mesh.

Also I need to get the drag. How should I get the values to calculate drag or Lift after performing any Steady State or Transient analysis?

Thanks in advance

Most likely Nodal_Output was left at the default of 1000 - so you probably only got the last time step of data.  If you would like more frequent output, you can indicate how frequently to write the nodal output - frequency either based on number of time steps, or actual flow time.

Also, in order to see the 'points' move on the streamlines (for a given time step), you'll need to change the type of the streamline to something other than 'Complete', then you can animate them.

Thank you. I managed to figure it all out.

Now I am having a bit of trouble with the residuals that don't want to drop below 1e-02 but the forces are reaching an almost constant value so I think its converging.

Typically to improve per-time-step convergence you can reduce the time increment or increase the max-stagger-iterations, both in Auto Solution Strategy.  You may also need more mesh.  You can request nodal residual output to see if there are specific regions where the residuals (use absolute value) are higher.
