Recommended Posts

I'd like to add excitation by acceleration in Freq resp(modal).

I had below error. how should I do?

(I add DAREA in constraint)

*** ERROR # 2094 ***
EXCITEID on RLOAD2 # 6 data references follower force or nonexistent
  SPCD # 8.

Use SPCD card instead of DAREA.Whenever load is in the form of acceleration ,velocity and displacement ,we have to use SPCD card.

Download free eBook on Dynamic analysis using OptiStruct.

https://altairuniversity.com/free-ebook-learn-dynamic-analysis-with-altair-optistruct/

In chapter 14 ,example 14.2 and 14.3 we have applied load as acceleration.

How should I do about inputting unit?

your units are quite right.

But I use the unit (ton, mm, MPa) in the model.

So Should I input 343000 mm/s/s

Can I check the value of SPCD after setting or reopening file?

Yes, Either you can check the same by opening the fem file in any text pad or review from constraint panel.
