I would like to damping on aluminium plate vibration using frequency-dependent material MATF1

I use import TABLE  recevied datas are zeroo

how to import and realize the analyze

when I imported in txt, all rows and columns are zero

when I imported in csv datas changed

I do not understand and I do not know how to import

actually datas in excel but I dont know what I should

Please check the comment section of MAT1 and MATF1 entries.It is strongly recommended that only two of the three values E, G, and NU be input.

 

I guess in your earlier shared .fem file you are violating comment 7 of MAT1 card.

I remember in Freq Vs E table first entry start with negative youngs modulus which violates comment6 of MAT1 card.

 

So don't provide Freq Vs E & Freq Vs G value.Reading comments section of MAT1 and MATF1 should clear your doubts.

I cannot Understand only comment;

WHAT IS TABLEDi 32 TABLED53 how to use them

also, in help about direct FRF, it is said MATF1 can be used for direct FRF analysis but in comment 4, it can be used for only modal frf

also

I cannot make define csv files to Load Collector I created TABLED or TABLEM

can you explain clearly and detaliled which table I must use and How to use

Please refer attached MATF1 information from online help (latest version OptiStruct 2018.0.1)

 

Ans1.I hope you have access to OptiStruct online help. TABLE (32,17 and 53) are just ids referring to example available in help. Refer MATF1 attached file.

TABLEDi 32 = T(E)

TABLEDi 17 = T (rho)

TABLEDi 53 = T(GE)

Ans2. For frequency dependant material property you should use TABLED card whereas TABLEM is for Temperature dependant material property.

Ans3. MATF1 was introduced in version 13.0 in which we supported direct method. Now as per the latest MATF1 is supported for direct and modal method

thank for all helpings from you;

I looked into document sent by you

now, I get data of storage modulus and loss factor of 3M ISD112 (for example) by origin

copied to excel and saved as csv ms dos format

here, how to import (because when import from unitiy menu/Table Create  I get only x axis data)
